The Baldr Project is a long-term preservation initiative for essential knowledge, practical capability, and reconstructive understanding. Its purpose is to help knowledge remain useful through disruption, language loss, and the failure of ordinary infrastructure.
The work explores durable archives, a pictographic decoding layer, distributed copies, and portable knowledge that can be carried and used without dependence on a single institution.
Preservation is present
The Mark of Preservation identifies an intention to preserve and share knowledge. It grants no authority and makes no guarantee of safety, accuracy, or completeness.
Support is welcome. Authority is not for sale.
Care and knowledge must not be exchanged for obedience. The project is designed around freely copyable essential knowledge, non-coercion, and continuity beyond its founders.
Development status: Foundational framework and preservation research. Physical systems remain under development.
