Project Urael explores practical field assistance for responders, essential crews, and communities. The aim is to improve access to information, communication, and useful physical support while reducing tasks that unnecessarily put a human body first.
Proposed uses include observing hazardous or difficult-to-access environments, helping crews maintain communication, carrying equipment, and supporting community search and restoration work.
Human direction, practical assistance
Human responders retain command and professional judgment. Urael is not a replacement for required human staffing. Proposed capabilities must earn their place through engineering validation, certification where required, and responder-led testing.
Development status: Concept-stage research and design. Field efficacy has not been demonstrated. Concept illustrations show intended scenarios, not deployed capabilities.
